I would fathom a guess that the average UFC fan cant name 5 WEC fighters. This will all change in 2011. Guys like Aldo, Cruz, Henderson, Pettis, Brown, Torres and Bowles amongst others will now get the recognition they deserve, as well as the pay days they deserve! The sport is only getting bigger. Jeff Hawken Taking It To The Matt? There is only one name Georges St. Pierre should be thinking about after his fight with Josh Koscheck and thats Matt Hughes once hes finally done with B.J. Penn! Zak D.Toronto, Ontario In Cain We Trust First off my congrats are out to Cain Velasquez, I knew from the day I found out these two were fighting that he would beat Brock Lesnar. The way Shane Carwin was dominating Brock was a key sign for me as I felt Velasquez was not only a better technical striker than Carwin, but also the fact he is faster and has much better cardio it made my decision an easy one. His domination of Brock shows two things, one that he has what it takes to be a champion, let us not forget the massive shots he took from Check Kongo who is one of the best heavyweight strikers in the world, he took them but remained calm and did whaat he had to to win the fight. Rob Gronkowski Jersey And two he has the poise and respect that any champion needs to have to be successful, Carwin made a huge mistake in his fight with Lesnar he underestimated Brocks heart and desire to keep going in a difficult position. Where as Cain took his time picking his shots and not over punching himself to exhaustion. I believe Cain Velasquez will be the champ for sometime, Junior Dos Santos is next in line but Ill be putting my money on the champ come fight night. Rob HurstGananoque, On Super Heavyweight Division Brock is definitely an alpha-athlete. To go from a regular 290-pounds down to 265-pounds during competition is quite much though. I find this to be his only obstacle, he obviously cant compete at his best after losing eight percent of his normal body weight. I would believe as the industry grows there may be a new "Super Heavyweight" class, but for the moment there are very few fighters that can peak that 265-pound mark and still remain competitive like Brock. By the way Dana, I am still waiting for Shaq and Hong Man Choi. Adam Paliotti Dont Believe The Hype Brock Lesnar showed he is all hype when he met someone of equal courage. Lesnar is a giant and his work ethic is supreme but seriously, his skill level needs alot of work. If he cant get in your head, he is pretty ordinary. He proved the same thing in his college wrestling days. There comes a time when only superior skill will insure victory and unfortunatly for Lesnar hes finding out now. Mike Grover Looking For A Rematch Look, I am a die hard Brock Lesnar fan, he is the reason I first got into UFC. I was watching UFC 121, and seeing Cain Velasquez pound on Lesnar for the first round just made me think of the Carwin/Lesnar fight back in July. The first round Lesnar is just getting beat, but then in the second round he comes back to prove that he is the heavyweight champion. But, then I see them calling the fight. What? You didnt call the fight for Carwin, but you are for Velasquez? Im not preaching over sour grapes, but Velasquez didnt win, Lesnar lost that one. Lesnar was not at the top of his game, but now he has a reason to train and will be back shortly to prove that he was, is, and forever will be the greatest ufc fighter. Just give it time. Velasquez, enjoy the title because you have a true warrior looking for blood. Alex MosierSurfside, South Carolina ' ' '
