BOSTON -- Glen Metropolit thought it over. Jermichael Finley Jersey. "Maybe Ill take on Big Z," the Canadiens forward said with a gap-tooth grin on creating a new rivalry with his former Bruins teammate Zdeno Chara. Thursdays Canadiens-Bruins game marks the 700th time these two rivals will face off. Only Detroit and Chicago have played each other more often, with 704 games. The Canadiens-Bruins rivalry only has been heightened in the last few seasons, marked by playoff meetings each of the last two seasons. In the 2007-08 season, the Canadiens topped the Bruins in a seven-game first-round series; last season, the Bruins exacted their revenge, sweeping the Canadiens to advance to the second round. But these days, with crippling injuries, both teams just need to win. Thursday the Canadiens will be without defensemen Hall Gill (hairline foot fracture), Andrei Markov (severed ankle tendons) and Ryan OByrne (knee), and forwards Matt D'Agostini (concussion) and Georges Laraque (back). The Bruins will be without Marc Savard (broken left foot), Milan Lucic (index finger), Byron Bitz (groin) and David Krejci (flu). The Bruins have been shut out in their last two games, while the Habs have lost three of their last four. Bruins coach Claude Julien, who coached the Habs for 2 1/2 seasons, says its not so much the rivalry that excites him. I am certainly not going to put all my eggs in one basket and say this is what we need, we just need to win ourselves a hockey game." Metropolit, who played with Boston in 2007-08 before joining the Canadiens last season, has fond memories of the series. "Its always fun," he told NHL.com. "Were both battling right now for points. Theyve got the injury bug and weve been hit with it, too. Itll be two hard-working teams tonight having some fun out there." Boston left wing Steve Begin faces Montreal for the first time tonight as a Bruin. Begin started last season with the Canadiens but was traded to the Dallas Stars in February. He signed with the Bruins this summer as a free agent. "I guess it will be as much fun on this side as when I was on the other side," said Begin. "Im looking forward to tonight. Last year when I played them it was a week after I got traded, so it was weird. For the whole team its a must-win tonight. I cant wait for the game to start." Montreal leads the all-time series with a 330-262-103-4 record, but the Bruins have the edge playing in Boston, 161-131-56-2, with a 1,030-947 goal-scoring advantage. "Should be a good game", said Metropolit. "Who knows what kind of rivalry well start tonight? I dont know." Knowshon Moreno Jersey. "Its not going to take that long," Posada said. (Agencies) Updated: 2008-02-18 08:48 ANTWERP, Belgium - Justine Henin fulfilled a career-long dream as she won her first title at home in Belgium as the Diamond Games closed out a nine-year WTA run on Sunday. Belgiums Justine Henin smiles as she holds the diamond racket, that holds 2008 diamonds and worth more than euro1 million (US$1.5 million), after beating Italys Karin Knapp at the WTA Proximus Diamond Games tennis in Antwerp, Belgium, Sunday, Feb.17, 2008. Henin won 6-3, 6-3. [Agencies] The top seed dismantled Italian challenger Karin Knapp 6-3, 6-3 in 90 minutes. A full-house crowd in excess of 15,000 revelled in the success of their world number one at an event which has been wiped from the womens calendar from 2009 in a scheduling shake-up. Henin, who lost a heartbreak Australian Open quarter-final a month ago to Maria Sharapova while carrying a painful knee injury, had made it her mission to lift the home crown. She prevailed easily over the number 47 Italian playing in her first career final. Knapp, aged 20, has yet to beat a Top Ten player. Its so great to win at home in Belgium, said Henin. That was really my goal this week and Im so happy I was able to do it. Ive had tough matches but came through. This is a very emotional moment foor me. Delanie Walker Jersey Henin finally had a more straight-forward win after struggling in her matches all week. But it still did not go entirely to script. Henin broke twice for a 5-2 lead in the first set but dropped serve in the eighth game as Knapp kept the contest alive, 3-5. Henin quickly righted herself, claiming the opener after 40 minutes on her third opportunity as Knapp put an approach into the net. In the second set, Henin broke for 4-2 and closed out victory on her first match point. The win was her 11th of the season against the Melbourne defeat and marked the 41st of a career which also includes seven grand slam trophies. Henin has now won ten finals in a row, last tasting defeat against Serena Williams in Miami in April last year. The Belgian came good on her third appearance in Antwerp after a 2002 final and 2003 semi-final. She returned home to play for the first time in five years and kept the tournament on its feet financially as more than 100,000 fans came through the doors over the concluding week. Henins victory was her second title of 2007 after Sydney in January. She will next play in Dubai in a week after pulling out of next weeks required WTA event in Doha, which will cost her at least 125,000 dollars in year-end bonus pool money. ' ' '
